UFC 310: Bryce Mitchell vs. Kron Gracie: Live round-by-round updates

A featherweight clash between Bryce Mitchell and Kron Gracie will go down on the main card of UFC 310, later tonight (Dec.7) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

While Mitchell (16-2) was once surging through the featherweight ranks, his progress has been halted by a series of recent setbacks. The 30-year-old is 3-2 in his last five with his most recent loss coming via a first-round KO against Josh Emmett.

Despite his recent misfortunes, the Arkansas native holds credible wins against Edson Barboza and Dan Ige among others.

Gracie (5-2) has struggled in the UFC. He will be coming to the pay-per-view on a two-fight skid. A win against Mitchell might be his saving grace and a ticket to the divisional rankings.

UFC 310: Bryce Mitchell vs. Kron Gracie

Round 1

Mitchell is expertly keeping his distance from his opponent flinging leg kicks from the outside. After 'Thug Nasty' engages with knees to the body, Gracie drags him to the ground, however Mitchell secures top control.

'Thug Nasty' then peppers his opponent with punches to the body. Despite his pedigree in jiu-jitsu, Gracie is finding it hard to outwork his opponent off of his back.

'Thug Nasty' is doing exceedingly well on the ground, as he does damage with ground and pound while defending his opponent's attempts at stringing up a submission.

Round 2

Gracie lands a big left hand to start off the round. Mitchell returns fire and stuns his foe with an elbow. A desperate Gracie pulls guard and once again drags his opponent to the ground.

Much like in the opening round, the Brazilian is barely dynamic on the ground and is resorting to just defending off his back. Mitchell commits to body punches and creates space to get back to his feet.

However, Gracie immediately cliches up, pulls guard, and once again forces his opponent to the mat. This time he sets up an arm bar. 'Thug Nasty' is in trouble. The jiu-jitsu maestro transitions to a triangle.

Gracie locks up a nasty triangle armbar, he has Mitchell's arm fully extended. 'Thug Nasty' however miraculously slips out of it. That was close.

Round 3

Mitchell connects with a few body shots but Gracie once again pulls guard and drags his opponent to the ground. This time however the American slams his opponent to the ground and unloads a nasty elbow which shuts Gracie's lights out.

'Thug Nasty' wins the fight via a nasty elbow.
